Lillian Wright Dozier as born October 30, 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pa to the late William E. Wright, Sr ans Sadie Baker Wright,. She was one of twelve children born to this union. She was educated in the Penn Hills School District. She attended Lincoln Park School and graduated from Seneca High School (Penn Hills Senior High). Lillian was united in marriage to Sphiger on July 20 1964 in Jefferson Ohio. To their union two children were born James Lee and Gloria Jane.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Penn Hills where she served in several ministries until her health began to fail. She served as a Sunday school teacher and the director of Vacation Bible School. In the 1980's she was ordained a Deaconess. She then began to help train other Deaconess' and those who were evangelized.
Lillian held various jobs from sales clerk to a preschool assistant teacher. She was loved by all who knew her. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren affectionately called her "Grammy."
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Sphiger and her son James. On June 14, 2018 Lillian quietly slipped away surrounded by her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves to mourn, her daughter, Gloria Dozier, her sister, Sadie Moore; her grand children, Timothy (Latasha) Dozier, Jeffrey (Julia) Dozier, Taru Lemon, Matthew (Tamara) Lemon, Jennifer (Maurice) Williams, Nathan Meyers, Erika Brown, and Charles Brown III; her great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; goddaughters Jewel and June Hopson and a host of relatives and friends.
