After a long and courageous battle with cancer Kimberly Craig was called home to be with the Lord September 15, 2019. Kim was the only child of Clarence and Lois Hall, born in Pittsburgh, Pa on June 26, 1956. Kim was baptized at St James Baptist Church and became a devoted member of the church where she served as a trustee and member of the kitchen committee.
Kim graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh Pa and attended classes at the University of Pittsburgh. The bulk of her career was spent in the customer service industry where she enjoyed employment at Sears, Verizon and United HealthCare. Kim leaves to mourn, her husband Spencer Craig, two sons Spencer Craig Jr. of Pittsburgh and Steven (Laura) Craig of Harrisburg and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kim amazed us with her ability to remain positive while enduring countless painful procedures, surgeries and treatments for her cancers. In fact, she never cried until the end when she realized how much her passing would hurt her family and friends. She fought and never gave up during three battles with cancer. In the end, cancer won the battle, but Kim won the war because she never lost her spirit, faith, and zest for life.
Kim loved children and children loved her. Throughout her illness, there was an outpouring of love expressed by her children, nieces, nephews and other children she met throughout her life. Most of them referred to her as their second mom. When one of her students discovered Kim was sick, she begged her mother to come visit her at home. She bought with her flowers and a picture she recently drew for Kim. They were both so excited that one would have thought they were lifelong friends. Kim was able to develop special bond with children like no one else had ever seen. Yes, she will be missed, but her love will never be forgotten
