Joseph Larnell Wright Jr. was born on November 23, 1955 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Wright Sr., and Alberta Wright. Joseph grew up in the Penn Hills/Lincoln Park area and graduated from the Penn Hills Senior High School. Immediately following his graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC. Joseph served as a Presidential Honor Guard and Security. After a four year service to his country Joseph was honorably discharged. Joseph was employed as a Mill Worker, Assembler, an Wire Man Specialist. He received his CDL License and drove both locally and throughout the United States.
Joseph met and married his childhood sweetheart, Xernna Wright. To this union two sons, Joseph Wright and William Wright. Joseph was a dedicated husband and father to his family. He enjoyed traveling and visiting his family. Joseph was a die hard Steelers Fan. Every game day he would prepare a scrumptious meal which included, ribs, hot sausage, and finger licking spicy foods and did this at no cost to anyone… all you had to do was show up.
On September 10, 2019, Joseph departed this life for eternal life. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Xernna Wright of 43 year plus years; two sons, Joseph Wright (Tamica Higgins) and William Wright (Ronnika J. Wright); 8 grandchildren, Shardaya, Jade, Jasmine, Shyanna, Joey, Naomi, William, and Nikia; three great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Xernna Davis and William E. Davis, one brother, John Neider (Ida); sister-inlaws, Myrna White (Gary); Olivia Walker; brother-in-law, Glenn Davis (Ann); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
