Jackie Nichols was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she was baptized at an early age. She continued in her service to the Lord as Church secretary, Mass choir , Youth Church as well as Family and Friend committee . She loved and worked at her church until she was physically unable.
Jackie was a graduate of Belle Vernon Area as well as The Douglas Institute. After graduating, she went on to work as a Billing Clerk for Presbyterian University Hospital for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas V. Jones; mother, Mary J. Jones and adopted sister Patricia Frost-Flanagan, on the same day as her best friend Rosemarie Swanson-Burney.
She leaves to cherish her memory; a devoted daughter Dana (with husband Corey) Vann of Monongahela PA; a devoted son Damion Nichols of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Elijah (Elizabeth), Nygel, N'daya, Taniea, Tyler, Nevaeh, Nakai and one great-granddaughter Aliya Vann; goddaughters Kyra Huggins and Ranelle Doty-Hartless; godson Malik Smith; her second-mother Thelma Law as wellas a host of other relatives and friends.
Jackie fought a long battle with diabetes until the Lord called her home. In remembering her faithful service to her Lord we are confident that her testimony would be "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me now the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day". 2 Timothy 4:7-8
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with you now and always....
