Hattie Jane Mabrey

Obituary

Hatti Jane Mabrey was born August 31, 1926 to the union of the late James A. Greenlee Sr. and Earlie L. Stepp.  She was called home on July 17, 2017 at her home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Moore and Darryl Mabrey and three sisters and one brother, Eva Ruth Murrell Pete), Dorothy DoBose (Aaron) Peggy, Watts (Risher) and James A. Greenlee Jr. (Ruth)

Jane Leaves to cherish her memory her brother Charles A. Greenlee Sr., his son Charles Jr. and wife Leona, nieces, nephew, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jane graduated from Schenley High School in January 1944 and moved to Washington, D.C. where she attended Howard University and later worked in DC. She came home to Pittsburgh in 1947 and started a career with the Pittsburgh Housing Authority where she worked for 45 years and retired in 1992.

Jane like to travel and belonged to several clubs, Entre' Nous Club, Deck Card Club and Po Folks Card Club.  She was a friend to everybody and her best friend Evelyn Johnson.  The Brother and family wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the prayers and many other expressions of kindness during our time of bereavement for our loved one.  May the Lord bless each of you.
