Gary Benjamin Middleton was born on December 19, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Winona and Lonnie Middleton Sr. He was translated quietly from this life on August 28. 2019. Gary was educated in the Pittsburgh public school system. After completing “Triangle Tech he became a draftsman for Levinson Steel Company. When the steel industry collapsed Gary held a number of jobs in the housekeeping industry
Gary was always unorthodox and just did things his way. He would walk everywhere or as our niece, Marquita would say “strut through the street with his huge Afro, bell bottoms with a pep in his step and happy with a cigarette in his hand.” Gary shied away from controversy and will always be remembered as a nice guy.
Gary was never married and has no children. He leaves behind to celebrate his life his 4 sisters, Debra Brown (Eugene), Denise Garner, and Kim Ferguson (Mark), Michelle Middleton and 1 brother, Ricardo Middleton. Also his aunts Beverly Raymond (James), Barbara Stroud and uncle Rodney Barnes (Darlene). There are also a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
We will all miss his smiling face and quick wit.
The family will be having a private gathering at his sister Debra’s home on September 7, 2019
