Eva Lee Wilson was born on April 15, 1926, in the Perrysville section of Pittsburgh, PA to Georgianna Derico and Charles Wilson. Eva attended Schenley High School, where she met her future husband, Nathan Armstead.
Eva and Nathan were married on March 5, 1943. From this union , 4 children were born: Nathaniel, Joyce, Barbara and Cecelia. While raising her children, Eva managed to pursue a career in nursing. Starting out a a nurses aide, she eventually went back to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Eva devoted her life to her children, and later to the grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who affectionately called her Big Grandma.
On Monday, December 24, 2018 , after a long, blessed life, Eva transitioned peacefully with her daughter Cecelia and great grandaughter Keisha by her side.
Preceded in death by : Husband Nathan, son Nathaniel, and parents Georgianna and Charles. Left to mourn: sisters Dorothy Moore(husband Willet), Gladys Grantonz, brother Charles"Tommy Hunt" Wilson, daughters Joyce Crosgrove (husband Carter), Barbara Armstead Meek, Cecelia Armstead, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great -great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews
