Elizabeth Katherine Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA went to be with the lord on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Elizabeth was born on September 7, 1932 in Rome, Georgia to Katherine Elizabeth Lundy and William Clark Lundy Sr.

Elizabeth graduated from Rome Colored High School and Floyd County School of Nursing in Rome Georgia, along with the University of Pittsburgh’s school of nursing. Elizabeth was a retired nurse who spent her life caring for others having worked in both public and private nursing for over 60 years at a number of institutions including West Penn Hospital, Magee Hospital, Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Cancer and Sickle Cell Research departments, St. Francis Methadone Center for Mental Health, and the Sisters of Mercy at Carlow University. Known for her generosity and vivacious energy, Elizabeth was a long standing, respected member of her community who always put the needs of others before her own.

Preceding Elizabeth in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband of 53 years Governor Johnson and daughter Drena Williams. Surviving are Elizabeth’s daughters, Katherine Allen (husband Aldophus Allen), Suzette Levine (husband Gerald Levine), and son-in-law Ben Williams Jr. (husband of Drena Williams). Grandchildren, Franklin Means Jr., Alexis Means-McBeth, Tekiesha Penaloza Daniel, and Ben Williams III. Additionally, Elizabeth has 7 Great Grandchildren, Myya Madison, Mylik Means, Brianna Williams, Kalel Daniel, Londyn Daniel, Alexander Williams, Bryson Williams and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, Lola Jordan, Joaquin Madison, and Marvel Madison.

Elizabeth Katherine Johnson lived an abundant and blessed life. To God be the glory for the great things He has done.
