Donald Edward Pate

Our beloved Donald E. Pate was born October 4, 1931, the only child of the late Clarise and Edward Pate. Donald was raised in the city of Pittsburgh and educated in the Pittsburgh Public Schools; Schenley High School. Donald was united in marriage to Aldonia Turner on August 9, 1969. He was enlisted in the Armed Forces where he received many medals. He was employed as a waiter at the Colony Restaurant in Greentree for many years until his retirement. Donald enjoyed golfing and traveling with his friends and family. Donald leaves to mourn his passing and also to cherish his memory, his wife Aldonia of 50 years, his children, Claudia Webb-Elmore of Ohio, Donna Strothers (David), Donald E. Pate Jr., 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister and brother-law and nieces & nephews. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the many expressions of love and support that have been extended to us during our time of bereavement.
