Charles A. Singleton was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 18, 1946, Edythe J. Robinson and Charles Singleton, Sr. He earned his Undergraduate Degree in Economics from Howard University in Washington D.C and his MBA Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana Kelly School Of Business. He completed an executive development program at Insead in France. Charles has held a number of executive and managerial positions within human resources in a variety of organizations including Mellon Financial Corporation, Eastman Kodak, Joseph E. Seagram, the Equitable Insurance Company, and Exxon/Mobile. In 2002, Charles founded Singleton, Sutton & Faris Inc., William A. Faris and Alexander C. Sutton SSF Inc. This is a full service HR consulting firm with a focus upon providing services to small to midcap businesses. For a number of years he was involved in educating other HR Professionals as a member of the adjunct faculty of Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He was a faculty member of WorldAtWork (formally the American Compensation Association). He loved spending time with his family which included his wife, Carol R. Singleton, two children, Jasun and Karen and one grandson, Jabbar. His Favorite pastime was listening to all genres of music, eating good food, going to concerts, exercising and keeping in shape, watching sports which included Basketball, Football, Baseball, Track and Field. Charles transitioned) on March 23, 2019. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Carol; children, Jasun Singleton and Karen (Thomas) Reese; grandson, Jabbar Reese; and a host of other relatives and friends.
