Carrie Cottrell Obituary

Carrie Lynn Cottrell, 58, of Verona Pennsylvania, sunset so suddenly upon so suddenly upon her on December 16th, 2019. She was born on January 30, 1961, in Buffalo, New York to the late Zelda and Richard. She was a sister to David, Jimmy, and Steven. After attending Hoover High School in Tonawanda, New York, she went on to pursue her aspirations in the Accounting and Clerical fields which included relocation from Buffalo New, York to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1986. With great ambitions, here she would marry and begins to build her legacy. Upon separation from her late ex-husband, Tim, long lasting relationships would continue. Thereafter finding the love of her life in Wan, they would continue raising their children - Eddie, Eric, Carrie, and Timmy.

It was no secret, her strength would prove to overcome any adversities. She always wore her heart on her sleeve and had the ability to relate to people from any and all walks of life. She didn't think she was a people person, but she was much more than she knew. Always there in the time of need, she believed that we all needed faith, hope, and love for another. She loved unconditionally to no extent. Always putting others before herself, she had a sacrificial love.

She prided herself on being a great caretaker as spouse, mother, and friend. Making sure others were always "ay ok". Her children were the most important part of her life. "Always a mother, she would say. Teaching her children and grandchildren to swim brought her much joy, movies, pumpkin patches and zoo trips, she was a devoted  mother and grandmother who found so much happiness in them. This was expressed through her beautiful dimples, baby blue eyes and infectious smile. She very much enjoyed her time spent with close friends and family. Whether it was out of town excursions or for the card parties and backyard cookouts, from spades, cribbage to backgammon she took delight in every opportunity to partake  in these moments with others. She was often referred to as " Hostess of the most-est.". In her passing, her heart was both literally and figuratively to big for this world. We always and forever love and cherish her,

Carrie was proceeded in death by father; Richard Cottrell, mother Zelda Cottrell, and ex-husband; Timothy Rodgers. She will be survived by many loved ones including spouse Wanda Fulwood, Brothers, David Cottrell, James Cottrell, Steve Cottrell, Son Edward Jackson (Nakia), Erick Saunders (Kayla) , Carrie Rodgers (James), Timothy Rodgers Jr. (Elizabeth). She will always and forever be greatly missed amongst her Thirteen Grandchildren as well as a host of friends and extended family members.
