I had the honor of learning the Letter Carrier trade from Bernie and his "Posse" at the Wilkinsburg/Homewood Carrier Facility. These men taught me what pride in accomplishment, and devotion to duty really meant. Bernie was a really humorous
man. To this day I can still hear "If I said it, it is true, because a Castleberry is never wrong"

I will miss Bernie, bit will always remember him with a smile.

God Bless, Bernie.

My deepest condolences for your tremendous loss. Bernard was an amazing man! An example of kindness, humility and love. Many morning I would awake to hear his laughter coming from my parents kitchen. Bernard and my father (Skipper) sharing an early morning cup of coffee (no Starbucks in those days and for that I'm thankful otherwise I wouldn't have these fond memories). May the memories that you have of him, provide you with some comfort in the days to come. - Marcy Koogler

Your Family Chain has been broken .And we must not ask why
We must just accept Christ as Our Lord.
To one day meet him… in the sky.
To be absent from the body, God’s Word states is to be present with the lord
After their life on earth was through Eternal life will be his reward.
There were so many links In your Family Chain of life.
All have their own special place in your heart.
But still you will miss them in your sight.
Tears will come fast and furiously, some slowly, uninvited
They just flow down your cheeks then meet and drop from your chin.
Memories recalled seem like just yesterday.
Stirring up that deep longing
to just see him once again.
But the memories that bring smiles, oh the smiles...
That dance lightly across your face. As each recollection is so unique!
Each one has it’s own individual space!
Yes, your Family Chain is broken and nothing ever seems the same;
But as God calls us one by one
Your Family Chain will link again!
Love and prayers for your comfort, James A. , jane rhoda Walker & Family
