Carol Banks Obituary

Carol Ann Banks was born on October 21, 1940, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel and Rose Smith. After graduating from high school, she continued her education at a Vocational School for Nursing.

Carol enjoyed watching soap operas, The Golden Girls and LOVED eating ice cream and chocolate chip cookies!

Her passion of caring for others led her to Western Center where she worked with intellectually disabled adults. She loved her career in the medical field and brought many of her patients home for visits with her family. She spent the rest of her working years in personal home health care until retirement.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 35 years John E. Banks, Sr. and her youngest daughter Elizabeth "Nae" Banks whom she will join in her new home in Glory.

Carol Ann "Curlie" is survived by her loving children Johnna Georgene Banks, Cheryl Lynn (Banks) Stoudemire, John Edward Banks, Jr. and Kenneth Matthew Banks.

She was blessed to have 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Samuel SJ and Koby), J'Lynn, Kaylin, Dante, Jordan, John (Little John and  Caleb), Jared (Lukas and soon-to-be baby girl), Janea, Anthony, Amaree and Azura. She also leaves behind many other loving family members and good friends.

Carol was a very loving, giving and caring woman. She lived a very blessed life! She will forever be missed, but always remain in our hearts!
