Yvonne Larkins
June 4, 1932 ~ October 25, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years OldYvonne Clarene (Nicklos) Larkins was born on June 4, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Arlene and Edward Nicklos. She was the eldest of four siblings. She departed this life after a long and courageous battle with multiple illnesses on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
She was a high honor student in the Pittsburgh Public School System at Schenley High School where she graduated in February 1950. While in high school she was one of the organizers of the Melo Jesters' social civic club. Upon graduation she worked at Goode's Pharmacy as a clerk, manager and chief financial officer. She was employed at Union National Bank in the automobile department.
"Bonnie" was a life-long member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She was baptized at an early age in 1944. She was a member of the Youth Choir, Young People's Choir, Simms Singers, Sanctuary Choir, Usher Boards and captain of various fund raisers.
"Bonnie utilized her culinary talents in cooking for gatherings at the church. She was church office secretary and secretary to Rev. Simms for many years.
She always had a beautiful smile, pleasant personality and instilled joy to all.
Yvonne leaves to mourn her siblings: Jean Douglas, Robert E. (Lee) Nicklos, Richard (Patricia) Nicklos; nieces, Rae (David) Welch, Terria Douglas, Raven Coates, Cheryl Ballard, Lynn Howell; nephews, Richard R.J., Eric (Solveig) Nicklos, Kylan Douglas, Arnold Howell, Ronald, and a host of other relatives and friends.
