Obituary

On Friday, March 30, 2018, at 11:20 p.m Tyrone V. Gardner, with family by his side peacefully transitioned.  Tyrone affectionately known as Ty, was 68 years young.  He was proceeded in death by his mother Arnell Gardner McCormick and father William Richardson, Jr., his sisters Ramona Smith and Marie Clark, brothers George Frederick Gardner and Calvin McCormick.

Tyrone was born on January 31, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Tyrone attended and graduated from Fifth Avenue High School.  He became a licensed barber in 1974, and worked at Johnson/Salles Barbershop located on Frankstown Avenue for his entire barber career.  Upon retirement, Tyrone began making house calls to cut hair for his family and close friends as a Barber Concierge.

When Tyrone wasn't cutting hair, he enjoyd spending time with his daughters, traveling with his long-time girlfriend Tracey Jones and attending many events of his four grandchildren.

Tyrone is survived by his daughters, Nicole T. Berry and Tylar R. Gardner, grandson Louis W. Berry IV, grand-daughters Janaya L. Berry, Jafda N. Berry, Jasmyne S. Berry, great grandson Keirre L Howell, beloved nieces Stacie Ballard, Shalise Gardner, Gina Gardner, Arnell Andrews and son and nephews Milton Williams and Artie Smith and a host of family and friends to carry on his legacy.
