Thomas L. Bradford

Thomas Leland Bradford was born on November 9, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Thomas & Lela Bradford.  His birth mother passed away when he was 2 years old.  He was then raised by Thomas & Eufer Mary Bradford.

Tom attended Westinghouse High School and the Community College of Allegheny County.  He joined the Strategic Air Command of the U.S. Air Force in 1960.  When he was honorably discharged, he returned to Pittsburgh to work for Trans World Airlines.  He then met Mary Helen Jones on New Years Eve in 1967.  The were married shortly thereafter in August 1968, and were married for 48 years.  They had two children, Brian and Leah.

Tom worked for the Port Authority of Allegheny County and was a Driving Instructor.  He was a generous man, who loved cooking, football, and road trips.  He knew the city of Pittsburgh like the back of his hand.  His calm and gentle nature made him a friend to all.  He was deeply committed to his family.  His children will always remember him as an exceptional father, who exemplified patience, kindness, and love.

Tom will forever be missed.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eufer Mary Bradford; his sister, Sandra Williams, and his brother, Kenneth Oliver.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, his children, Brian Bradford (Tess), and Leah Bradford (Kevin); his siblings Lillian Cook (Ralph), Marilyn Stevenson, and Timothy Bradford (Sharon); his granddaughters, Ryan Bradford and Tanner Bradford; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
