Sabrina Cox

Sabrina Leanne Cox also known as "Windy" was born October 26, 1964 in Pittsburgh, PA to Hazel Cox-Oliver and the late Robert Lee Payne. On Saturday, January 28, 2017 she departed this life and entered into eternal peace. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother (stepmother), grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Sabrina was baptized at a very early age at Willow Way Baptist Church. She also attended Petra International Ministries for many years. She attended Pittsburgh Public Schools and graduated from Nursing School at Community College of Allegheny County. She held various positions throughout her life. One of her most cherished was at A Second Chance, Inc.

Sabrina's life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which she lived. Her cheerful smile, boisterous laugh and warm embrace brought so much joy to family and friends. She was a kind soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She accomplished anything she set her mind to do. She loved to cook (she was famous for many dishes but her peach cobbler was infamous). She loved spending quality time with her family ESPECIALLY her grandchildren. Like many, she struggled through some tough and trying times; life knocked her down but she got back up every single time.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: Husband: Paul Turner, Mother: Hazel Oliver, Sons: Alfred Hines-Cox, Windal Hines-Cox(Erika), Dashawn Cox(Gorgonia) and WIlliam Cox, Daughter: Jasmine Adams, SIsters: Rochelle Cox, Lezetta Cox, Lakeisha Adair, Posetta Hawes and Shonda Oliver, Brothers: Derek Payne, Thomas Harris and John Moore, Stepchildren: Erika Turner and Shauncey Carter and 18 beloved grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Payne.
