Robin Genise Ward

Robin Genise (Price) Ward was born on September 26, 1957 to her parents Percy and Faye Snow in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Robin was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System. She graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School at the age of 16. She furthered her education at The University of Pittsburgh where she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in 1976. Robin accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of The Homewood Church of Christ. During the summer of 1979, at Ozanam Cultural Center, Robin met and fell in love with Larry. They were joined together in holy matrimony on August 22, 1981. They raised 3 loving children Ralonda (Price) Oakes, Lauren (Ward) Rush and Lawrence Ward. In 1982, using her loving spirit and caring nature, Robin became a Licensed Practical Nurse and began working at West Penn Hospital. While working as an LPN, Robin attended Community College of Allegheny County and obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 32 years, giving compassion and helping those in need. Robin most recently worked as a crisis nurse for the past 5 years. Robin touched the lives of the many people that she came in contact with. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was always upbeat, kind, positive, and selfless. Robin was the glue to her family. Whenever anyone had a problem she was the go to person, offering advice and assistance whenever needed. She loved her family unconditionally and was a great provider. While working on August 18, 2016, Robin was suddenly called home to be with God. She was doing what she loved most, caring for others. She leaves to cherish and forever hold her memory: Husband Lawrence; Daughters Ralonda (Reginald) Oakes, Lauren (Paul) Rush and Son Lawrence Ward; Parents Percy and Faye Snow; Siblings, 2 brothers , Michael Dean and Percy “Chopper” Snow Jr., 2 sisters Deatra Warren and Tonya “Toni” Snow; 10 grandchildren Reginald III, Raiona, Raelyn, Ricardo, Rajab, Ariana, Paris, Paisley, Taralynn, Jakobe; 1 great grand-daughter Nylah; Extended daughters Stacey (Todd) Sherer, Chatiara Gibson; Aunts & Uncles: Judy Price Thomas, Georgia Price, Rosetta (Bill) Harris, Maybel & Minnie Boston, Frank (Leola) Snow, Napoleon (Stephanie) Snow, Allen Walou Williams, Tommy Bullock; sister-cousins: Ernestine “Boobie”, Runnell “Candy”, Mary “Peaches”, Roxanne, Heidi; 4 extended brothers Theopolus, Robert Lee, Johnny, Eugene; Louis “Blue” Marshall her beloved Godfather; brother-in-law Donald Ward; 4 sister- in- laws, Debra (Jimmie) White, Beverly (the late Raymond) Yarbrough, Priscilla (Terry) Fountain, Laurie Ward.
