Obituary of Melvin Herring

Melvin Herring was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 15, 1938 to the late Nathan Nathaniel and Annie Mae Herring.  He entered the United States Army on March 1953  and received an honorable discharge in 1956.  He later married Jani Dickey and from this union three sons were born, Donald, San Diego, California Reginald, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Tracy, Jacksonville, Florida.  Melvin entered into a relationship with the late Arletta Edge.  Three children are left to mourn, Tisha, Jerry, and Rochelle (loved dearly).  He also leaves to mourn fifteen (15) grandchildren.  Donald's children are Donald, Juan, Ella, and Bella; Reginald's children are Amair, Nicole, and Dershia Foster; Tracy's children and Miraya Grim Jessica, and Octavious; Tisha's children are Rashaw and Jasmin Jerry's children are Jerry Jr., Sharaime, and Damian and two great grand children, Ja'nae Pearson and Donald's grandson Tiah Herring; and Rochelle's children are Karnesha and Chantay.  

He was the third of five brothers and sisters, Nathan Nathaniel, Jr., late Barbara Ann, Betty Jean Muse, and Pearl Poole and Linda Herring the adopted niece and two brother in laws, William Muse and Maurice Poole as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
