Mary L. Murphy

Mary Louise Murphy (Smith) 84 of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017.

Mary was born in Greenville, Alabama on April 2, 1933 to the late Robie and John Henry Smith. She was married to the late Willie James Murphy on July 25, 1951 for 35 plus years.

She was a Nursing Assistant at Pittsburgh Hospital for a number of years before retiring, and was a beloved mother to five (5) children

She was a dedicated member and served as a Greeter at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh for over 20 years.

Mary is survived by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and five children; Quincelia Becton, Pittsburgh, PA; Beverly Johnson, Sugar Hill, GA; Irwin Murphy, Norcross, GA; Marian Wilson, Chino Hills, CA, and Sandra Johnson, Moreno Valley, CA. She also had five grandchildren, and four and ½ great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the House of Law Inc., Funeral Home, 9406 Frankstown Road, Penn Hills PA., at 11:00 am, with Interment immediately following the service.
