Kenneth Street

Kenneth Novel Street was born on March 9, 1951.  He departed this life on December 14, 2017.  Kenny, as he was called, attended Fort Pitt Elementary School and then went to Peabody High School (now known as Pittsburgh Obama).  Kenny left Peabody in the 10th grade and went on to join the military in January, 1975, where he served his country until his release on November 11, 1980, with an Honorable Discharge.  He resided in Pittsburgh  for the remainder of his life.

Kenny worked in several locations throughout the city for the last 10 years, most recently for Van Pho Restaurant.  In this position he was able to travel all over the city and other states doing what he loved, which was cooking.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father and mother; Reed and Bernice Street, 3 brothers; Walter, Reed (Larue) and Charles Street, 4 sisters; Sandra Robinson, Diane Eubanks, Brenda Street and Corrie Street, his grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memory 9 children; Geia Henderson, Alexia Daniels, Bryan Payne, Sydell (Kim) Payne, India Street, Stephanie Branch, Kevin Street, Kalvin Street, Katrina Branch, 1 Goddaughter, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Also 7 brothers; John, James, Richard (Dicky), Wendell (Winky), William (Bill), Lawrence (Tyke) and Ernest Street, all of Pittsburgh and South Carolina, 2 sisters; Barbara Newman from Gulfport, MS and Flora (Sis) of Pittsburgh and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who love him dearly.
