Jacqueline Louise McGee would like to let you know her work here is done; she was called on Tuesday April 25, 2017 to be reunited with her mother the late Jonnie Mae McGee-Bennett and her father the late John Wilson.

She asks that you celebrate the life that she was able to share with you which started her birth on April 8, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Reminisce about her childhood days when she played with her younger Aunt Catherine (Raymond) Ellison.

Remember her school days with her sister Nadine (Lawrence) Powell, cheering on the Bulldogs at Westinghouse High School until she graduated in 1962.  Hold on to the fun days you may have shared with her when she was a young adult living on Cora St. in Homewood or a later time when she lived in East Liberty, or maybe you got the attending one of her fun gatherings on Calmar Dr. in Penn Hills.

The next time you hear the Hawkins song Going Up Yonder, remember how Jackie sang the lead solo in various gospel choirs from her early childhood days at Calvary Baptist Church through her adulthood.  Through her music and love for God, she was able to touch many people and encourage them to develop a relationship with the Lord.  In her later years, she cherished her time with Love Fellowship Church of Pittsburgh.

She exemplified caring and compassion in her over 40 year career within healthcare.  Starting her career at St. Margaret's Hospital, spending many fun years with her colleagues at The Lemington Home and then retiring from The Heritage Shadyside.  Giving herself, she took in and cared for her grandmother the late Louise Streets.

You must remember how Jackie was always stylish and jazzy.  Never forget her fashion and style that she got from her mother.  No matter if they wanted to hear it or not, she always emphasized looking good to her children and grandchildren.  She loved getting dressed up and hanging with her cousin Benjamin (Ardelia) McGee.

She defined family as a group of people that love each other and stay close to one another regardless of blood connection.  Her family was always very important to her.  She asks that you keep her dad Frank Bennett and her children Marci, Dawndra and Corey Jones close to you and in your prayers.  Keep an eye out on her grandchildren Brannon Boea, Corey Jones Jr., Brittany Latchie, Eric Jones Jr., Isaiah Jones and Paige Jones because she believed it takes a village to raise our children.  She says don't leave out the host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, blood relatives and adopted children, grandchildren and friends that cherish and love her.
