I worked with Hattie and feel blessed to have known her. She was a gift to all she served and worked with.

I worked with Hattie for many years at the Visiting Nurse Association; she cared for our patients with compassion and integrity. Over the years, she had many reasons to be sad but her smile and contagious laugh always took center stage. I would see her on occasion at VNA reunions and she wrote a note to me during a difficult time that I still keep in my Bible. It was an honor to work with Hattie and my condolences to her family. Be at peace, Hattie.
