Gary Edward Anderson

Gary Anderson, son of the late George Lyle, Sr. and Marie Devose Anderson, was born December 6, 1966 in Pittsburgh, PA.  He departed this life peacefully o Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Gary was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System and graduated from Westinghouse High School.

At a young age, Gary worked several jobs to help support his baby daughter.

Gary was united in marriage to Tanika Davis Anderson and to this union a son was born, Gary E. Anderson Davis II.  Gary was always proud of the achievements and accomplishments of Little Gary.

As a son, brother, father, uncle or just a friend, he knew so many ways of caring.  As a son, he was very devoted to his mother as he spent the last days of his life caring for her, as a brother he was always the life of all parties, sporting events and family gatherings.  As a father, he  always stood tall for his two children, as an uncle he held a special place in their hearts and as a friend (Onion) was well known and well loved.  There are many things that could be said about him, but there isn't enough paper to complete his fulfill.

He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.  He leaves to mourn his death, two children; Ronnisha Thornhill and Gary E. Anderson Davis II, one step-daughter; Shanika Lynn Davis, one grandchild; Je'Shawn Lamont Gilbert, Jr., mother; Marie Anderson, sisters; Deborah McDaniel, Velma James (Dennis), Granitha Anderson "Niecey", Cheryl (preceded him in death), Roslyn Williams and Joann Broadus, three brothers; Troy A. Anderson, George Lyle, Sr. and Mark Lyle and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
