Elmer Rogers

Elmer Rogers III was born January 11, 1965 to Elmer Rogers Sr. and Jean Rogers.

He attended Elementary and High School in Brooklyn, New York. After graduation, Elmer enlisted in the Air Force, where he served for four years receiving an honorable discharge. Elmer attended Seton University graduating with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. He went on to complete and graduate from the Salvation Army, where he later became employed. Elmer moved on to become a Care Manager for The Center for Spirituality in 12 Step Recovery. Elmer was able to spread his wings and touch the lives of many by empowering, encouraging and giving hope, what he so loved. Elmer was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and also was a choir member.

Elmer found his true love and happiness when he met and married his devoted soulmate Dynise Long Rogers. Elmer was a kind, gentle giant who made a huge impact on all he encountered.

Preceded in death was his father, Elmer Rogers Sr. He leaves behind to mourn, his loving wife Dynise Long Rogers,grandson Taj Granville, mother Jean Rodgers,son Elmer Newsome, daughter Diamond Rogers,stepdaughter Tara Long, close companions:Essie, Billy, Felicia, Randii, Ty, Pat, Keith, Robert, Joyce and co-workers from The Center for Spirituality in 12 Step Recovery, along with a host of relatives and friends.
