Dennis Edward Sanders, Sr. 71, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 18, 1945 to the late Angus U and Olether (Bridges) Sanders.  He was formerly married to Darlene Ross who, together, raised three children.  He is survived by daughter, Stephani (Leonardo) Ware of Pittsburgh, PA, Sons: Dennis E. Jr. (Michelle) Sanders of Pittsburgh, PA and Ashton Sanders of Los Angeles, California, grandchildren: Nadyia Better, Jarrett Better, Dennis Sanders, III, Khalil Sanders, Kayla Sanders, Justin Better, and great grandchild: Zi'Eirrah Ethridge, two brothers:  David M. Palmer of Horsheads, New York, and Angus U (Judith) Sanders, Sr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; also a special friend: Rhonda Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends..  Dennis graduated from Schenley High School.  He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as an electronics field technician.  He also was blessed with an innate talent of electronic skills which was a hobby of his.

At an early stage he joined the Good Hope Baptist Church, formerly in Lawrenceville.  He later joined Covenant Church of Pittsburgh in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and most recently; the Macedonia Baptist Church in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, PA.  He attended regularly until he was physically unable to attend after which he worshipped via streaming Sunday morning services on television.  He really loved Macedonia Baptist Church.  Religious exposure was an integral part of his formative years and remained central to his adult life.  One of his favorite scriptures came from the 6th Chapter of Matthew which teaches us not to worry.
