Ms. Christine T. Brice-Wilbur, daughter of the late Glynn Oliver Davis and Ethel Stephens-Davis (Gray), was born September 2, 1926, in Pittsburgh, PA.  Christine attended and was a graduate of Schenley High School in the Hill District in Pittsburgh.  At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ.

She was united in holy matrimony to Cal Brice on October 8, 1946.  This union was blessed with three sons.  Christine later met and married Edward Lewis Wilbur on February 14, 1970 and this union was blessed with two daughters.

Christine was a committed homemaker for her children, allowing them to benefit from her love, firm and steady discipline, guidance and wisdom; they will always carry these values with them and pass them on to their own children.  Christine cherished quality time with her family and absolutely loved to laugh and live to the fullest, and encouraged others to do the same.  Some of her fondest moments came from the days in which the family spent summers and holidays at her father and mother's (Mamie Davis) homes in Mays Landing, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.  From sitting around the fireplace , to walking the beautiful property, and laughing and talking around the dinner table, the times spent together on the farm provided many memories and laughs that will last for years to come.

As a result of her generous spirit and loving personality, Mrs. Chris or Aunt Chris, as she was affectionately called, was adored by many and looked upon as one of the loving mothers of the neighborhood.  She kept a watchful eye on her children, and everyone knew when Mrs Brice or Mrs. Wilbur was coming, as everyone straightened up and attention.  Christine often volunteered at the schools her children attended, worked at the polls on election days, was a daycare worker in the infant room at the Hill House, babysat many neighborhood children, and worked closely with Girls Scouts program.

Because of her wisdom and sage advice, many looked to "Mrs. Chris" for advice, comfort and guidance - even after they had grown up and moved away.  Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who came in contact with her.  Christine will be missed.

Surrounded by family, Christine quietly departed this life on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.  Her twin sister, Rudine Mary Alice Vaughn, nephew, Ellee Vaughn Sr., and grandson, Jaqua Brice, preceded her in death.

Christine was born into the generation which has been dubbed, "the greatest generation that ever lived".  She instilled in her children a strong sense of family and love for one another; her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Dwight S. (Deborah) Brice, Norman C. (Linda) Brice both of Pittsburgh, PA, Gary A. (Madalyn) Brice of Bonaire, GA, Jacinta (John) Willis of Greenbelt, MD and Dorene (John) Akujobi of Mechanicsburg, PA; Grandchildren: Amber Brice, Stormie Brice, Carla Allen, Tionti Brice, Kamika Liberman, Alee Wilbur, Armani Willis, Amir Willis, Kennedy Akujobi, Sophia Akujobi and Anthony Akujobi; 8 great-grandchildren; Brother, Glynn Davis, Jr., of Maryland; Loving nieces, Thelma Hall of Maryland, Carla Vaughn of Pittsburgh and Loving nephews, Eugene (Michele) Brice of Brooklyn, NY, Robert Vaughn, Jr. and Angelo Vaughn of Pittsburgh, PA, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousin, in-laws and friends.
