Welcome to the memorial page for

Brenda Lane

April 25, 1941 ~ December 30, 2017 (age 76)

The Piano Brothers

Born in Pittsburgh, PA,  April 25,1941, Brenda Jean Thomas Stanton Lane was the oldest of nine children of the late Howard R. Thomas and Jean A. (Reed) Thomas.  Brenda was the proud mother of Kenneth Stanton, Louis Stanton, Michael Stanton, Dana Stanton and step mother to Brian Stanton.  Her youngest son, Michael Stanton and her husband, Bob Lane, and her brother George Thomas preceded her in death.

Brenda Jean Lane, age 76, peacefully made her heavenly transition from this earth on Saturday morning, December 30, 2017 in her home of Verona, PA after an illness with cancer.  She fought a good fight as she tried her best to follow her doctor's instructions to get better.  But, God had another plan.  Brenda accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age.  Brenda was known by the family as someone who could pray.  She often would take the responsibility at family reunions to offer advice and render prayer.  She knew the Lord!  Brenda would enjoy sharing how much she enjoyed church services at Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh where she was a member.

Brenda graduated from Schenley High School.  Brenda retired after 35 years from U.S. Airways as an airline reservationist where lifelong friendships were made.  This was when Brenda gained an interest in travel.  She enjoyed travelling to Japan, Bahamas and Florida.  She enjoyed traveling to her siblings' homes for reunions and family functions.  Everywhere she went, Brenda made friends.  She would affectionately call her family and acquaintances, "My Love" and "Lovey".  Everyone loved being around her and she would do anything for you.  Her wonderful and caring personality was infectious.  She enjoyed telling stories that would leave you in stitches!  Brenda was also a sharp dresser.  She was known to have a full room in her house that was just for her clothes.  She enjoyed home decorating, reading, watching the cooking channel and spending time with family and friends.

Brenda earned the respect of her family as a Mom, Mour Mour, Big Sis and Aunt Brenda.  Her nieces and nephews respected and loved her.  "My Aunt Brenda...do loving...so amazing and so hard core...always told me she has my back no matter what.  I love you Aunt Brenda.. I will miss your knowledge and conversation...your guidance and your love...but none of that is in vain...for you and your legacy lives on through what you have passed on to all you have touched...may your new journey be of love and peace..

She leaves to treasure her memory her three children, Kenneth Stanton (Michele), Louis Stanton, Dana Stanton (Shawn Livingston and Joe Willingham); her brothers and sisters, Howard R. Thomas, II (Eileen), Eva Diane Davis (Gerald), Norman A. Thomas (Linda), Peggy A. Williams (Don), Joan C. Toller (John), Brandon K. Thomas (Deanne), Nancy A.
