Arnell Alan Anthony exchanged life for eternity on June 21st, 2016. Arnell was born on February 27th, 1953 to the union of Rev. Clifton Anthony and Minister Sabrina  Anthony. Arnell graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1971. Arnell had a stellar outstanding athletic career while attending Wilkinsburg High School. He participated on the pole vaulting team and ran track. His greatest Athletic acheivement was as a star football player. Arnell played wide receiver and it was said that if Arnell got the ball you can't catch him, lending him the nickname "Wing" He seemed to fly when he caught the football.  Arnell was selected to play football on the Big 33 all-star football team for Western Pennsylvania.  He received a full scholarship to Temple University in Philadelphia Pa. He attended Temple for 3 years before leaving school to enlist in the military. Sargent Arnell Anthony served in the Army with Honor and Valor from 1974 until 1982. Arnell confessed Christ as his Savior at a young age. He most enjoyed his role as a deacon in the church. he was ordained as a Deacon in 1996. In recent years he served at New Bethel Church and Gethsemane Ministries. At the time of his passing Deacon Arnell Anthony was chairman of the Deacon Board of Gethsemane Ministries in Wilkinsburg. Serving under Rev. Sylvester Howard. Arnell's pride and joy and the loves of his life are his daughters Toy and Shana, also his grandsons Andre, Michael, and Keith. On Easter Sunday in 2012 at New Bethel Church Arnell met his self-described "love of his life"Yvonne Rose (Tootsie). On April 27th, 2014 Arnell and Yvonne Rose were united in marriage. Yvonne and Arnell loved to travel and play board games together.

Arnell leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Rev. Clifton and Sabrina Anthony, his loving wife Yvonne Rose-Anthony, his beautiful daughters Toy (Keith Johnson), Shana Sabrina Anthony. Brothers Raymond (Valerie), Warren (Kimberly), his grandsons Andre, Michael and Keith. Following his marriage to Yvonne he became father to Kenneth, Calvin, Jerome, Jason, Josette, Robbie and Sherri. also leaves beloved relatives and many lifelong friends.
